چکیده

In this paper, we provide results about the long time behavior of integrodifferential equations appearing in the study of populations structured with respect to a quantitative (continuous) trait, which are submitted to selection (or competition).

The \sigma law of evolutionary dynamics in community-structured populations

Evolutionary game dynamics in finite populations provides a new framework to understand the selection of traits with frequency-dependent fitness. Recently, a simple but fundamental law of evolutionary dynamics, which we call σ law, describes how to determine the selection between two competing strategies: in most evolutionary processes with two strategies, A and B, strategy A is favored over B ...

ALADYN - a spatially explicit, allelic model for simulating adaptive dynamics.

ALADYN is a freely available cross-platform C++ modeling framework for stochastic simulation of joint allelic and demographic dynamics of spatially-structured populations. Juvenile survival is linked to the degree of match between an individual's phenotype and the local phenotypic optimum. There is considerable flexibility provided for the demography of the considered species and the genetic ar...

The replicator dynamics for age structured populations

1 Abstract In this paper is presented the new modelling framework combining the repli-cator dynamics (which is the standard model of the frequency dependent selection) with the Leslie Matrix model of the age-structured population. Firstly the continuous version of the discrete Leslie Matrix model is derived. It is shown that Euler–Lotka equation is satisfied when new model reaches the steady st...

Evolutionary Games on Structured Populations under Weak Selection

All biological systems are, at some level, guided by the laws of natural selection and evolutionary dynamics. Adaptations with increased fitness tend to proliferate and fixate within populations. Those situations in which an individual’s fitness depends not only upon a static environment, but upon the fluctuating phenotypes of the surrounding population, fall within the domain of evolutionary g...

ALEX: A Model For The Viability Analysis Of Spatially Structured Populations

A new generic model for assessing the viability of spatially structured populations, ALEX (Analysis of the Likelihood of EXtinction), is described. Strengths and weaknesses of ALEX are discussed. ALEX only models one sex, ignores genetics, and is inadequate for modelling the dynamics of very small populations. However ALEX contains four features that make it useful for assessing the merits of d...
